About the role
We are looking for a Business Development Manager that is excited about making access to education available to anyone, and to work on building the network of education providers offering Income Share Agreements. 

The Business Developer will be responsible for the acquisition and onboarding as well as building long-term relationships with education providers - from bootcamps, vocational training courses and universities - and onboard them to our platform.


Role responsibilities:
  • Identify, engage and build relationships with current and potential education institution partners
  • Negotiate agreements with education institutions and manage the onboarding process
  • Provide training and support to partner education institutions
  • Ensure each education institutions correctly promotes the ISA to their students and drives candidates
  • Responsible for making sure each institution delivers ISA contracts.
  • Responsible for Customer Success team for specific markets
  • Prepare proposals, analyse performance data and history of potential Education Partners
  • Work cross-functionally to handle and resolve complex and time-sensitive questions clients may face
  • Ensure StudentFinance is a thought leader in the market
  • Represent StudentFinance and ISAs in the broader education market and at industry events
  • Become an expert and advocate of ISAs and support the shift in the education industry towards this pay-per-success model
  • Given the sensitive nature of the information handled, maintain strict confidentiality at all times

Job requirements

About you:
  • 4+ years of experience in high-level negotiation and managing strategic partnerships at a senior level
  • 4+ years of experience in business development roles in B2B contexts
  • Ability to build relationships with key stakeholders
  • Experience managing teams across different geographies
  • Experience in driving results, and overseeing KPIs for a market
  • Excellent presentation - to make a good impression always!
  • Attention to detail
  • Fluent in English and at least one more European language (ideally German, Spanish, Italian)
  • Experience in startup environments and in the education sector
  • Proactive and able to work independently in a remote team structure
  • Comfortable in a high-growth, fast-paced and agile environment
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and yet able to steer analytics projects toward clear business goals, testable hypotheses, and action-oriented outcomes
  • Resourceful, self-starter and independent thinker
  • Team player, collaborative, responsive
  • A genuine interest in Fintech, Education, and in promoting Income Share Agreements as the new standard for education financing/ access
